Ripped Jeans For In Between Weather

DSC04297

My guilty pleasure has always been destroyed jeans. I love the comfort and the automatic “cool” factor that they instantly deliver, but finding the perfect pair can be difficult. My go to store for them is definitely Abercrombie and Fitch. In general, their jeans have a great fit, and last a really long time! For in between weather like the kind we have in Atlanta right now, Continue reading

Layering For Fall

DSC03977

The weather here in Atlanta has been hot, cold, and downright, smack dab in the middle. As a result, its almost like you need multiple outfits per day! Here’s an outfit I put together last night that I thought worked well for this in between and I’m confused weather. I tend to feel colder on my arms, so I always like to have a little jacket on me. Here, I paired Continue reading

Transitioning Into Fall

DSC03884

This fall has been a slow yet quick transition for us here in GA. By that, I mean one day its hot, the next day its cool, and the third day, cold. This makes it tricky to know how to dress, but I’m assuming that in most places the transition is going much more smoothly. Today’s outfit is my version Continue reading

Cheaper Alternative to Longwear and Transfer Proof Lipsticks! Mood Matcher

I had heard of products like Mood Matcher, but somehow had never tried them out- until now! I got my hands on these quirky and fun products about a month and a half ago, and have been hooked ever since! These lipsticks react to your body temperate to create a custom shade just for you- resulting in different colors for everyone! Each tube is a different and pretty radical color, but once on your lips, changes to look much more acceptable.

My favorite part about these lipsticks is that they are SUPER long wearing and completely transfer proof. On me, they last a good 12-14 hours, and once the sheen is gone, a stain of the original color remains. I never get any stains on glasses that I sip from, either!

There are three different versions of the lipsticks available: the original ($4), which is a conventional lipstick tube made of one color, the split sticks ($6), a lipstick tube with a lipstick that is split in color, and the twist up sticks ($8), which is a luxe version of the original two in a pen like tip and tube. All three are made of the same formula, and they all feel balmy to the touch! There is no stiff feeling to your lips when wearing them, and each color is not opaque, for a more natural look and feel.

These lipsticks are available HERE

IMG_0714This is my favorite one- the orange twist up stick which creates a coral to light pink shade on my lips. I feel like this one looks the most natural on me!

DSC00151In the split sticks, the yellow/blue one is my favorite! When I mix them both together, I get this super dark pink/raspberry color. This one is the most opaque on me (I have no clue why my picture is blurry! It doesn’t look this way on the camera)

All in all, I love these lipsticks for their ease of application and affordable price!

Backless Skater Dress

I love everything backless, because thats such a timeless way to show skin and still look classy. This dress is the perfect example of it, because the skater shape, 1/2 sleeves and length make it dressy, while the open back gives you a little peekaboo and adds a bit of sexiness! This outfit was so easy- its just a dress with a thin braided belt to break up the monotony of the navy blue. That, and a bag and shoes, of course! These are my favorite shoes of the year, because they are so comfortable! Dolce Vita did such a good job with this shoe because it not only holds your foot in so well, but it also is so stylish!

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by! Today’s outfit has been one that I’ve been wanting to wear for a long time- I love the loose top and loose skirt look, and wasn’t sure I could carry it off. I got this top from Nasty Gal, and dug deep within my closet for the skirt! This look is so effortlessly chic, I love it! Continue reading

Easy, Breezy, Black

I always gravitate towards black. I always have, and probably always will. I feel like it looks the best on my skin tone, and I feel so much edgier in it! Today’s outfit was inspired by Kourtney Kardashian, and I love it! It’s so simple, and just about anyone can pull it off. We’re sticking to my cardinal rule of fashion here- show a little bit of skin, and cover everything else up. Here, I have an open back paired with ripped jeans.

DSC03323Cobalt blue heels made the black pop, and I love how that specific shade of blue looks on my skin!

DSC03333We all know I love a little bit of edge- thats why I grabbed this studded Jimmy Choo clutch for this look!

How to Banish Dry Skin

While I have oily skin on my face, I have the driest skin on my body! This means no matter how much I moisturize, its usually never enough, and when it feels like its enough, its too much and leaves me feeling greasy and sweaty. Enter: Aveeno moisturizing lotions. I discovered 3 different body lotions by this drugstore brand recently and have absolutely fallen in love!

IMG_9852

The most moisturizing of the three, the Creamy Moisturizing Oil is my favorite. I had never heard of the concept of a “creamy oil,” it almost sounds like a contradiction! Upon dispensing it, I was pleasantly surprised by how thin the product really is. That being said, due to this, I didn’t think it would moisturize enough. I was absolutely wrong! Somehow, in a very thin form, this creamy moisturizing oil packs a punch and moisturizes intensely while still remaining non greasy. My favorite part? The fact that I can put it on after a shower in the morning and I still feel moisturized at night.

61ee39aNSxL._SY355_The second one I am loving is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The consistency of this one is quite different than the first, in that it looks and feels much thicker, almost wax like. When rubbed into the skin, it also dries to a more matte finish than the creamy moisturizing oil. It is made with natural colloidal oats, and you can tell that it is less hydrating than the first. For people who do not suffer immensely from dry skin, you will find this to be a very comfortable wear.

The third body lotion from the Aveeno line up I have been loving is an extension of the second. It is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion Sheer Hydration. I expected this one to barely moisturize, but boy was I wrong! This is most similar to the creamy moisturizing oil, but lighter in hydration. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no greasy residue just like the other two, but feels similar in texture to the first.

I love all three of them, but have to say the creamy moisturizing oil is my absolute favorite! I also love the fact that Aveeno is so affordable and can be picked up at any local drugstore.

Have any of you tried out any of the above products? If so, which one did you like the most?
