If you know me, you know I love to learn. I’m always taking classes to enhance my existing skills and learn from more knowledgeable people. That’s why I was so excited about The Makeup Show pop up shop that is coming to ATL this weekend! Tickets are available to purchase (and are only $25!) HERE. The show is open to the public! If seminars and shopping isnt enough, you can always take hands on workshops with some of the artists there. There is an additional cost to that, and you can check the event schedule to get class timings.

The show is taking place both Saturday and Sunday from 11-6 and 10-5 respectively, at the Westin Buckhead: 3391 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, Georgia.

Cheaper Alternative to Longwear and Transfer Proof Lipsticks! Mood Matcher

I had heard of products like Mood Matcher, but somehow had never tried them out- until now! I got my hands on these quirky and fun products about a month and a half ago, and have been hooked ever since! These lipsticks react to your body temperate to create a custom shade just for you- resulting in different colors for everyone! Each tube is a different and pretty radical color, but once on your lips, changes to look much more acceptable.

My favorite part about these lipsticks is that they are SUPER long wearing and completely transfer proof. On me, they last a good 12-14 hours, and once the sheen is gone, a stain of the original color remains. I never get any stains on glasses that I sip from, either!

There are three different versions of the lipsticks available: the original ($4), which is a conventional lipstick tube made of one color, the split sticks ($6), a lipstick tube with a lipstick that is split in color, and the twist up sticks ($8), which is a luxe version of the original two in a pen like tip and tube. All three are made of the same formula, and they all feel balmy to the touch! There is no stiff feeling to your lips when wearing them, and each color is not opaque, for a more natural look and feel.

These lipsticks are available HERE

IMG_0714This is my favorite one- the orange twist up stick which creates a coral to light pink shade on my lips. I feel like this one looks the most natural on me!

DSC00151In the split sticks, the yellow/blue one is my favorite! When I mix them both together, I get this super dark pink/raspberry color. This one is the most opaque on me (I have no clue why my picture is blurry! It doesn’t look this way on the camera)

All in all, I love these lipsticks for their ease of application and affordable price!

How to Banish Dry Skin

While I have oily skin on my face, I have the driest skin on my body! This means no matter how much I moisturize, its usually never enough, and when it feels like its enough, its too much and leaves me feeling greasy and sweaty. Enter: Aveeno moisturizing lotions. I discovered 3 different body lotions by this drugstore brand recently and have absolutely fallen in love!

IMG_9852

The most moisturizing of the three, the Creamy Moisturizing Oil is my favorite. I had never heard of the concept of a “creamy oil,” it almost sounds like a contradiction! Upon dispensing it, I was pleasantly surprised by how thin the product really is. That being said, due to this, I didn’t think it would moisturize enough. I was absolutely wrong! Somehow, in a very thin form, this creamy moisturizing oil packs a punch and moisturizes intensely while still remaining non greasy. My favorite part? The fact that I can put it on after a shower in the morning and I still feel moisturized at night.

61ee39aNSxL._SY355_The second one I am loving is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The consistency of this one is quite different than the first, in that it looks and feels much thicker, almost wax like. When rubbed into the skin, it also dries to a more matte finish than the creamy moisturizing oil. It is made with natural colloidal oats, and you can tell that it is less hydrating than the first. For people who do not suffer immensely from dry skin, you will find this to be a very comfortable wear.

The third body lotion from the Aveeno line up I have been loving is an extension of the second. It is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion Sheer Hydration. I expected this one to barely moisturize, but boy was I wrong! This is most similar to the creamy moisturizing oil, but lighter in hydration. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no greasy residue just like the other two, but feels similar in texture to the first.

I love all three of them, but have to say the creamy moisturizing oil is my absolute favorite! I also love the fact that Aveeno is so affordable and can be picked up at any local drugstore.

Have any of you tried out any of the above products? If so, which one did you like the most?

OOTD: Jumping For Joy

So here it is- my very first full jumpsuit. I’ve always wanted one, but could never find one that actually fit lengthwise. My sister was here visiting in June and was all about jumpers/rompers etc., and seeing her in them inspired me to actually find one that worked for me! When I came across this one in Fabri’k I was ecstatic because it looked like the length would fit me! However, let me tell you…I am not a floral girl at all, and that was the one part that made me unsure about this romper. Styling it with minimalistic shoes and a bright bag made it wearable for me, and I now love this look!

IMG_8355This jumpsuit has tiny yellow/green/white flowers, so I played with the yellow and added this bag

OOTD/OOTN: How to Wear Leather in Spring

Hi everyone!

If you guys have noticed any trend at all so far on my outfit posts, its that I love leather. Any time of the year, leather can look so chic depending on how you wear it. Today I paired leather, and well…leather for you guys. I filmed a full Get Ready With Me video so that you guys can see how I do my hair, makeup, and style my outfit- and here is the final result! I chose out a couple pieces from a few favorite stores of mine- Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Fevrie, Nasty Gal, and Muwae Jewelry to come up with this look. I also have a coupon code for you, so be sure to scroll to the bottom!

Be sure to watch my video on this look HERE

IMG_7087Although the top is leather too, because it has fringe is the reason for why its wearable with this skirt

IMG_7102

I just love this layered necklace from Mawae! I went ahead and doubled it up to look shorter against this fringe top.

IMG_7103This skirt from Fevrie is EVERYTHING! It created curves for me that I don’t have. Not to mention, the asymmetrical black lines adds curves too!

IMG_7088I tucked in the fringe top to make it look shorter than it really is. Kate Spade gold bangle bracelets and the Muwae necklace really pull the look together!

IMG_7098The gold chain of the bag brings all the other gold pieces together!

IMG_7089Pumps would have made this look too casual, so I chose pointy toed gold shoes to stick with the more formal theme
