Last month I had the privilege of attending the Face and Body Southeast Conference and Exp. This was a three day event during which local and national companies had the opportunity to showcase important aspects of their brand to industry professionals and prospective students. The expo was set up with numerous Continue reading
I am such a neutral girl that I get so nervous when spring comes around and we’re expected to wear brighter colors. Usually I add a pop of color and call it a day, but other days I love to keep soft colors looking that way with nothing to distract from them. The beautiful Kavya from Pretty Pink Roses and I collaborated to show you how you CAN wear spring brights and neutrals. Be sure to check out her blog Continue reading
I’m that person. The one who gets her heart set on something, and then will stop at nothing to get it. This time around, my heart was set on these Chanel espadrilles, but of course I had no idea that it was such a coveted item, and that there’s a wait list of hundreds of eager women who want it! That being said, I finally tracked Continue reading
I always get asked where I get my Indian clothes from, and I wanted to share my designers with you! I recently went to Delhi, India, and had the opportunity to get to know Aakriti and Nitin, the owners and designers of Rang boutique. For the longest time, I have been getting clothes made from other designers who are much more expensive and sometimes don’t exactly deliver the way they should. However, with Nitin and Aakriti, that wasn’t Continue reading
I recently worked with the beautiful Kelly from Kale Me Kelly to create a wedding guest appropriate look for the wedding she was invited to. Our goal was to keep her face glowing and dewy, and the rest of the makeup to look fresh faced. Mission accomplished! Be sure to Continue reading
I always gravitate towards black. I always have, and probably always will. I feel like it looks the best on my skin tone, and I feel so much edgier in it! Today’s outfit was inspired by Kourtney Kardashian, and I love it! It’s so simple, and just about anyone can pull it off. We’re sticking to my cardinal rule of fashion here- show a little bit of skin, and cover everything else up. Here, I have an open back paired with ripped jeans.
Cobalt blue heels made the black pop, and I love how that specific shade of blue looks on my skin!
We all know I love a little bit of edge- thats why I grabbed this studded Jimmy Choo clutch for this look!
Black Leotard: American Apparel
Ripped Jeans: Abercrombie and Fitch
Sunglasses: Casa Pop
Necklace: Random shop in Spain
Studded Clutch: Jimmy Choo

While I have oily skin on my face, I have the driest skin on my body! This means no matter how much I moisturize, its usually never enough, and when it feels like its enough, its too much and leaves me feeling greasy and sweaty. Enter: Aveeno moisturizing lotions. I discovered 3 different body lotions by this drugstore brand recently and have absolutely fallen in love!
The most moisturizing of the three, the Creamy Moisturizing Oil is my favorite. I had never heard of the concept of a “creamy oil,” it almost sounds like a contradiction! Upon dispensing it, I was pleasantly surprised by how thin the product really is. That being said, due to this, I didn’t think it would moisturize enough. I was absolutely wrong! Somehow, in a very thin form, this creamy moisturizing oil packs a punch and moisturizes intensely while still remaining non greasy. My favorite part? The fact that I can put it on after a shower in the morning and I still feel moisturized at night.
The second one I am loving is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The consistency of this one is quite different than the first, in that it looks and feels much thicker, almost wax like. When rubbed into the skin, it also dries to a more matte finish than the creamy moisturizing oil. It is made with natural colloidal oats, and you can tell that it is less hydrating than the first. For people who do not suffer immensely from dry skin, you will find this to be a very comfortable wear.
The third body lotion from the Aveeno line up I have been loving is an extension of the second. It is the Daily Moisturizing Lotion Sheer Hydration. I expected this one to barely moisturize, but boy was I wrong! This is most similar to the creamy moisturizing oil, but lighter in hydration. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no greasy residue just like the other two, but feels similar in texture to the first.
I love all three of them, but have to say the creamy moisturizing oil is my absolute favorite! I also love the fact that Aveeno is so affordable and can be picked up at any local drugstore.
Have any of you tried out any of the above products? If so, which one did you like the most?
So I just recently finished reading Grey, the story of 50 Shades of Grey from the perspective of Christian himself. So when I was looking at my pictures for this post, I couldn’t even think of a title- I just kept thinking Grey. So pardon my boring title, and read Grey.
Remember when I mentioned over the summer that I was dying to find myself a few jumpsuits but it was very hard? Well, that problem is now over because I found so many! This beauty was picked up at AX on sale, and it fits so well that I didn’t even have to alter it. Its color makes it perfect for an evening out!
I’ve always loved shades of grey on my skin, and this one is no different! It would also really suit olive skin tones
I really loved my last Roxbox. This necklace and cuff are totally my style! Remember, code makeupbymeghaxoxo will give you your first month of Rocksbox free! Check out my previous post to see just what this jewelry subscription is about!
Because the entire outfit is one color, I had to add a pop of color with my shoes! And I have to say, these beauties by Joie are so comfortable!
My studded Jimmy Choo clutch added a little bit of a rocker effect which I always love!
– Grey Jumpsuit: AX (on sale!)

Kourtney Kardashian definitely inspired me to buy my first pair of knee high gladiators last year- guilty! However, even after having them for so long, I finally pulled them out for the first time just just a few days ago! After buying them, I started feeling a little too dominatrix-y for my liking, so until I figured out how to style them, I wasn’t comfortable wearing them out in public. I decided to go with a peach shift dress and black/gold accessories to style the gladiators, and I loved the look!
I wanted to match the gold hardware on my handbag, so I chose trendy gold jewelry
Dress: ASTR from the Nordstrom Savvy section
Gladiators: Steve Madden also from Nordstrom
Necklace: America’s Mart
thanks for stopping by! Today I’m styling a yellow romper with some wedges to instantly glam up the look. This summer I’ve been all about yellow, and while I normally stay away from a yellow/black combination, I really loved this one! I wore this outfit to an event at The Cosmetic Market at Avalon, and I was so lucky to have my hair done by the incredible Mario from “Mario’s” hair salon in Alpharetta. I asked for a lioness do’ and I absolutely loved what he came up with!
The black wedges made me take out my black Celine!
Normally I find that Rompers can take away curves, but in this ones case, the fabric is so thin that it really flatters as opposed to taking away
The print of the romper has a faded effect, but I kind of dig it! Add a chunky necklace and polka dotted bracelet, and you’re good to go!
A low, tie up back gave this look a cute and whimsical effect because it was a loose fitting outfit
Bracelet- Kate Spade NY
