If you know me, you know I love to learn. I’m always taking classes to enhance my existing skills and learn from more knowledgeable people. That’s why I was so excited about The Makeup Show pop up shop that is coming to ATL this weekend! Besides being able to buy all the popular makeup brands’ products at heavily discounted rates, there are also seminars with top artists in the industry and a few meet and greets with industry leaders. Tickets are available to purchase (and are only $25!) HERE. The show is open to the public! If seminars and shopping isnt enough, you can always take hands on workshops with some of the artists there. There is an additional cost to that, and you can check the event schedule to get class timings.

The show is taking place both Saturday and Sunday from 11-6 and 10-5 respectively, at the Westin Buckhead: 3391 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, Georgia.

Some of the brands you can look forward to shopping at include: Nars, Becca, Ben Nye, ABH, Skindinavia, Temptu, Makeup Forever, Inglot and more!

Be sure to purchase tickets today while you still can!

Makeup Blog Sale!

Hey Guys!

I asked on instagram and twitter if I should have a blog sale to get rid of my hoards of makeup that I no longer need or use, and I got an overwhelming response saying to definitely do it! So after weeks of posting that, I am here and ready to do it!

The makeup I am selling is not “bad” in any way. I have stopped using these products because either they don’t suit my skin color anymore, or I don’t need them in my kit any more. I’m sure you guys have seen me talk about may of them in my videos. I also am selling a few brand new items.

Each picture will have a description (from left to right), info about how much I have used it, and a price.

Instructions:

This makeup sale is open to everyone, internationally too. For domestic (U.S.) shipping, the price is the full amount and no additional shipping cost will be incurred. For international clients, I will be charging between $5-$7 depending on region and weight of the product.

Each item is pictured as is, and will be sanitized and cleaned up before sending out. I am a makeup artist so I definitely take great care to sanitize!

Please email me at makeupbymegha@gmail.com with what products you want in the subject and your paypal and shipping address in the message. I will send you an invoice to pay for the item. Please pay within 24 hours, or the item(s) will go to someone else.

This sale is first come first serve. Whomever I receive the emails from the soonest for the products are the ones who will get them.

I’ll update this post with items that are still for sale as things start selling. All sold items are struck through and red.

Indian Bridal Makeup Tutorial

Hey everyone!

Today I created an Indian/South Asian bridal makeup look for you guys. This is one of my most requested looks, so I had to do it! I decided to go all out and wear jewelry, veil my head, and the full outfit. This look is in collaboration with Arshia from Happy Treasuress (click on the name to be taken to her video!!). She did a makeup look for the mehendi/sangeet ceremony which precedes the actual wedding ceremony. Be sure to follow me on instagram  All links are down below too!

Our culture is very colorful, and our weddings are even more so. Our traditional wedding color is red and usually has thick gold embroidery and beading. Due to this, makeup artists tend to favor gold for the eyelids. Some brides feel comfortable rocking a dark red lip in conjunction to the red outfit, but most modern brides who come to me don’t want that look. I feel more comfortable with a lighter lip too with such a dark outfit, so that is what I chose. I hope you guys enjoyed this look! Don’t forget to watch the video on how I achieved it on my youtube channel. The widget to take you there is down below!

When achieving makeup looks like this, its important to keep in mind that the jewelry and outfit have a lot to do with the final look! While the makeup might look super over done without all of the trimmings, the second you have your full outfit together everything starts making sense.

Here are some of Arshia’s pictures from her look!

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Review

Hi everyone!

I was anticipating the arrival of the new Nars foundation for quite some time, and when I finally had the chance to try it out, I jumped all in. I wasn’t expecting a miracle due to the fact that the sheer glow (also by Nars) no longer works on me and I had pretty much given up on the possibility of any foundation being a holy grail after the MUFE mat velvet due to my oily skin woes. However, this foundation is a game changer. I wear the shade Syracuse for reference.

Reasons…?

It is the THINNEST consistency FOUNDATION I have ever used, and it still has an insane amount of coverage. I would say its medium/full to full coverage. You only need one pump for your entire face- and this pump only dispenses a small amount, not the amount most pumps dispense! Not only that, it has the most gorgeous, luxurious velvet texture to it that makes it photograph really well, and looks like real skin. Once you apply it, it doesn’t look slippery or “wet” or “sticky” and therefore does not have to be powdered- thats a personal preference.

Also, its been wearing really well on my oily skin. I get about 5 hours of wear without any shine at all, and when it does start to shine, its the good, non oily kind. I find myself having to blot only after 7-8 hours, and thats only because I like it to be 100%..but honestly, its not a must. I do wear a translucent powder over it regardless.

And lastly, it photographs beautifully!!

Warning: If you’re viewing this on an iPhone, there might be a problem with some pictures appearing sideways..if thats the case click on it and hopefully this issue between Apple and WordPress should be resolved soon!

Pros:

– Need a very small amount for full face (bottle will last for a long time)

– Looks and feels luxurious

– Absolutely weightless

– Does not separate on oily skin

– No oxidization

– Color range

– Photographs very well

– Luminous finish that is wearable on oily skin

Cons:

– Price

Overall Grade: A+

Glossier Phase 1 Review

Hi everyone!

welcome to my re designed blog! I’m so glad you’re here, and hope that you find something that keeps you coming back for more. As you guys know, I have a youtube channel on which I talk about all things beauty and fashion related. Here, I wanted to link some of the video info with more in depth pictures and quick little blurbs about the products. All the below posts are from my old blog (in case you guys were wondering how you already knew those things)!

Today I am going to be reviewing the Glossier Phase 1 set that everyone is talking about! I was so excited to try out this product, and I honestly absolutely love it. Watch my video for the full review, but below are some pictures.

Everything for the Glossier Phase 1 set came in a white box. In that white box were stickers, a tote, and pink bubble wrapped zip locs. In that were the products.

Glossier Products

Glossier Cream

I mixed the “medium” and “dark” shades to get my shade. They say the skin tint has a color fitting technology which enables it to take to all skin tones and adjust accordingly. For me, the medium was too light as you can see above, and the dark was a bit too dark. Good thing though- it doesn’t oxidize so it won’t change color after being worn.

Glossier Skin Tint Blend

Here is my hand after I blended the skin tint in. While it doesn’t “cover,” it has blurred out imperfections a bit.

Blended Skin Tone
Here is my hand without any product, for comparison.

Glossier Skin Tint

Glossier Skin Blend Final Look
All done!! Here is the finished product- pretty much undetectable on my skin, but so natural!

Watch my video review below!

Pros:

– portable

– great packaging that can’t break, cutesy with the stickers

– lightweight “creme” great for even oily skin. It moisturizes really well and has helped get rid of my dry spots

– skin tint virtually looks un detectable on my face, yet helps to blur out imperfections

– balm dot com dries to a matte finish so no greasy residue

– everything is fragrance free except for the rosewater spray

Cons:

– price

– rosewater spray burns my eyes for some reason

– too few colors in the skin tint range. Could stand to add a “deep” shade

Overall Grade: A
